Stainless steel screens for starch filtration

Since its foundation in 1934 Stork Veco has accumulated considerable experience producing high quality screens. This experience was used to develop new screens with superior properties for starch filtration.

Our stainless steel metal filtermedia is used in rotating conical centrifuges for separating fibers from starch, for the dewatering of fibers in general and for the dewatering of crystals. Filtration media have a significant influence on the efficient use of existing production facilities and the quality  of the final products.

Tests done by customers show that improved filtration, less maintenance, longer filtration cycles and longer lifetime result in significantly higher production efficiencies. 

The extraction and processing of starch from agricultural commodities is one of the most important agro-industries worldwide. Starch being mainly used in the food and beverages industry, is also used in its raw or modified form in many applications in industries such as textiles, paper, plywood, adhesives and the manufacture of pharmaceuticals.
