High precision metal etching, chemical milling, chemical etching, photo chemical machining and chemical machining
Etching is a highly cost-effective method for prototyping, small and (very) large series. The animation on the right describes the process. The photo etching technology is also known as metal etching, chemical milling, chemical etching, photo chemical machining and chemical machining and offers considerable advantages compared to punching, laser-cutting and wire-erosion.
Photo etching is a highly cost-effective method for prototyping, small and (very) large series. The animation below describes the process.
The most common materials that can be etched are:
- Cu and Cu-alloys (like brass, phosphor bronze, CuBe)
- Ni and Ni-alloys
- Stainless Steel (301, 302, 304, 316, 430 etc.) and other stainless steel alloys like Kovar and Invar
Special material (alloys) can be etched on demand
