Stork Veco makes 3 sugar screen types for continuous centrifuges
All three sugar sieve types meet and even surpass the quality standards that customers require. The electroforming process imparts a mirror-smooth surface, without any burrs or bumps. The conical hole shape reduces blinding and clogging.
All sugar screens are made so that the length of the slot is radically aligned in multiple arc segments. This ensures a maximum crystal separation efficiency.

VecoStandard
This type of screen has been developed for normal applications. Features are:

Mirror-smooth working surfaces of pure nickel, without any burrs or bumps, chromeplated for longer life, for a soft travel of sugarcrystal with less break-up. |

The conical hole shape reduces blinding and clogging. |

Slot arrangements radically aligned in multiple arc segments to suit travel direction of sugarcrystals to obtain optimum purity value at maximum capacity. |

VecoFlux
This type of screen, introduced in the early eighties, has helped many customers to considerably improve their process efficiency.

Thanks to the high open area, double that of the standard screens, and to the increased thickness, VecoFlux offers better purging value, lower water consumption and increased durability. |

It can be used with 0.09mm or 0.06mm slot width to increase the centrifuge throughput up to 150% of the standard value. |

It can also be used, with 0.04mm slot width, in low-grade massecuite in order to capture the tiniest crystal of sugar without losing throughput. This results in lower final molasses purity, depending on the situation, of up to 2 points, with the obvious financial savings.

VecoLife
This type of screen has been developed in the nineties to increase the relatively short life of screens with 0.09mm slot width.

The 50% increase in thickness substantially reduces the deformation of the electroformed nickel screen into the support coarse wire screen. |

This deformation is the main cause of the chrome-plating layer becoming damaged. |

VecoLife lasts up to twice as long as a standard screens.
